We are pleased to invite you to participate in the Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union (ABU)/UNESCO competition Together for Peace (T4P Media Awards). This is a great initiative that focuses on People, the Planet and Positive Peace.
You are encouraged to enter programmes/series in the Radio, TV and Digital content categories. The competition is global, and it will benefit from quality programmes. The deadline for submission has been extended to September 5, 2021.
ABU and UNESCO Bangkok Office launched T4P Media Awards to highlight and promote the crucial role of independent, ethical journalism and citizens’ media literacy for building positive peace in the minds of men and women. Positive peace is not just the absence of conflicts and war but striving for equitable and fair societies that have respectful and sustainable relations with the environment. The Awards will honour innovative and creative Radio, TV and Digital Media content, which informs and educates audiences on best practices of building positive peace in three critical areas that have increasing urgency in achieving Sustainable Development Goals and “building back better” from the COVID-19 pandemic:
- Transformative Education
- Living in harmony with nature, including coping with climate change and biodiversity loss
- Living well with diversity, fostering human flourishing and intercultural understanding
The competition is open for broadcasting organisations/production houses and independent producers from across the globe.
The Entry Form, Competition Rules and Topics Covered by the Awards can be found here.
