Philip Goswitz

Philip Goswitz is Senior Vice-President in Engineering responsible for broadcast and communications systems engineering for the DIRECTV US and DIRECTV Latin America business units. Specifically responsible for (1) the design of the broadcast architecture for digital video processing and distribution for both satellite and broadband delivered content; (2) the design and operation of the 15 satellites in the DIRECTV satellite fleet; (3) the design of the digital and RF communications hardware, including the large broadcast uplink antennas systems and small consumer receive antennas, for the distribution of the entertainment content to DIRECTV customers; (4) the use of Design Thinking to drive innovative product and service design through direct work with DIRECTV customers.
